Verification TXT record for subdomain

Hello everybody,

I’m new in Cloudflare community and I’m not an expert in DNS record and configuration.
I’m french, so excuse me for my english.

Here is my problem : I purchased a Business offer for my customer domain to use a partial CNAME zone (solution forund here: https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/partial-setup/setup/).
I gave him the verification TXT record for his domain but he told me that he can’t add it in his DNS records due to an internal policy.

He ask me to generate a verification TXT record for his subdomain.

I don’t know if it’s possible in Cloudflare and if Cloudflare will accept this property verification.

Can you help me please ?

What does he mean by that and how does he think that would work?

He will need to work that out with the policy maker if they expect to validate their Cloudflare setup.

I think he is worse than me in DNS knowledge

I agree, unfortunately, I can’t intervene at this level
