Using Cloudflare's ssl for root and all subdomains

Can I use Cloudflare’s free single SSL certificate for my root domain and all subdomains?? Please answer me, anyone…

For your site to be secure, you need a certificate on your server as well as the one on the Cloudflare edge. The easiest way to do this is to get your site working over HTTPS before adding it to Cloudflare. The alternative is to use a Cloudflare Origin Certificate on your server if you intend to stick with proxying through Cloudflare (the origin certificate is only valid if you proxy through Cloudflare).

In terms of subdomains, the free Universal SSL covers first level subdomains, i.e. *.example.com, so subdomain.example.com would work but www.subdomain.example.com wouldn’t.
