Using cloudflare with WP Cache

if you are using the cloudflare cache

does it help if you still use a cache plugin in Wordpress?

Would it help or make things worse/

Cloudflare only caches static files by default (CSS, JS, images etc). You can add a page rule with a cache level setting set to “cache everything” to have your HTML also cached, but you should only do so if your site has static content.

In that case, you can and should use a cache plugin in WordPress. It will prepare the pages so that when Cloudflare needs to fetch them from the origin, they are ready and don’t need to be generated on the fly.

The CloudFlare’s “cache everything” expires at least once every 30 days. The cache plugin may help during the first visit.
