Using Cloudflare with Vercel Hosting and Third party Registrar

Answer these questions to help the Community help you get started.

What is the domain name?
jeystudios.my

When you tested your domain, what were the results?
yes, it is reachable now, just that i want to add it into Cloudflare

Describe the issue you are having:
Hi, i have a domain called jeystudios.my purchased from a company called YeahHost (my Registrar) in Malaysia, and I currently use Vercel’s hosting service to host that domain name, Jeystudios,my website which is by adding the vercel nameservers in my Registrar dashboard, but my question is, if i want to add my site to cloudflare, is it i have to remove all the other nameservers first and only keep the cloudflare nameserver first, then only i can proceed, and i wonder what are the steps after that? like what to add in my Registrar dashboard and Vercel Dashboard, could you guide me on that please? Thanks!

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?
yes, using letsencrypt ssl assigned by vercel hosting

Before you change your nameservers, you should make sure that you have copied all the DNS records from your registrar’s dashboard over to Cloudflare, and that you have changed the SSL setting in Cloudflare to Full (strict).

You shouldn’t need to make any changes to either after you have changed your nameservers.

FYI, you will have problems when you renew your LE SSL certificate if your proxy through Cloudflare when you have Cloudflare terminates your SSL. Do you want Cloudflare for DDoS?

You should delete the 4 NS records that you have in Cloudflare, other than that it looks good.

You should then remove the nameservers other than Cloudflare.

This can be solved by either using a configuration rule, or installing a Cloudflare Origin certificate:

I was going to mention that, but wasn’t sure what the objective was.

Actually, my objective is trying to serve it using Cloudflare, sort of like cdn thingy, something like that on Cloudflare, so i want to try will cloudflare actually faster than Vercel on this, I’m also not sure if Cloudflare can achieve the thing i want, so my idea is to try to do something like Serve it using Cloudflare, but my website was still hosting in vercel, or will the Worker functionality in Cloudflare do that for me?

and talking about the objectives as mentioned by you guys, because as mentioned previously by you guys, businesses use Cloudflare to prevent DDoS Attack, so what are the other features provided by Cloudflare that is used by other websites?

one thing that i notice sometimes is when i go to websites like chatgpt, they will show the captcha thing that let me click to verify im not a bot, which is provided by Cloudflare too, is that the prevent DDos Attack thing?
