Using Cloudfare in addition to Wordfence

Hi,

Can someone help me with a security question as I’m a little baffled.

I currently use the wordfence plugin in my WordPress website which has a firewall - which I understand sorts out malicious traffic once it reaches the website.

Am I correct in thinking - I can use Cloudfare as an additional firewall that sorts out the traffic before it reaches my website?

I would then effectively have two firewalls. Cloudfare to vet the traffic before it gets to the site, and then wordfence to check it again once it is there?
