Using 1.1.1.1 from Beirut

I am being routed to DNS servers in Paris, while Cloudflare has a PoP in Beirut, peered at Beirut IX in Berytech.
Is there a reason why I am not being routed to Beirut?
I noticed the same for CDN traffic being served by servers in CDG.

Since the same happens for OpenDNS, that’s a question to ask your provider for.

They probably don’t peer with anyone who has a direct connection to Cloudflare in Beirut, or it’s due to low cost routing or whatever.
