Url forwarding not working - cm

Hello everyone

I’m trying to do url forwarding.

I’ve tried everything. I followed all the tutorials/threads/videos on here and YouTube.

I’m trying to go from www url com to url com

I did the whole dns thing with orange cloud enabled. I did a www dns record. I did a @ record. I did the page rules part but for some odd reason Every time I go to www my site won’t load but the non www works.

I even asked a friend of mine to help and see if I did something wrong he also followed all the threads. Sites and tutorials published for this

I’m using a website called sellix with my domain.

I turned off the page rules just to get it back to normal
I also removed the dns records except that ones that are working for the non www version.

Solved it myself got it working

For other folks that read this downtheline, can you share how were you able to fix this?

Sure

Not sure why but I had to redo it 100x it seems

I even redid the whole dns part

So I added a new New Dns recorded using

A

Name (www)

Ipv4 (192.0.2.1)

Then turned on the Cloudflare orange proxy thing

Saved it

Went to rules made a forward url rule

So I was doing www to non-www

So first input box (url required) I put https(://)www(.)myurl(.)com/*
Picked forwarding. 301 perm
Destination url https(://)myurl(.)com/$1

Then saved. Refreshed my browser cleared my cache again and tested my site and finally it worked :slight_smile:

Remove the () I couldn’t add urls because I’m using a new account and it restricts me

I flipped some switches and you should not hit that again, sorry.
