Urgent: Wordpress website unreachable after succesfully switching to CloudFlare

What is the issue you’re encountering

Changed nameservers from Strato to Cloudflare, DNS fully propagated, Stape.io server container using a new CNAME record is working, Wordpress website unreachable, internal redirect on Strato to Wordpress folders.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have searched for hours and contacted Strato with no success. 11 hours ago I switched the Nameservers to Cloudflare, I have waited for the Cloudflare account to become active and the DNS to fully propagate. This is now the case and the Wordpress website is unreachable, resulting in a 404 error. I paused Cloudflare, but this did not help. I suspect something in the connection between Cloudflare and the internal redirect on Strato is going wrong, but I don’t have much experience in this field.

it is a 404 error, reproducing it is as simple as searching for the website itself.

When paused the DNS points direct to your host and requests do not pass through Cloudflare.

So you have either set the DNS records wrong in Cloudflare, or the host is not answering for your domain name. Check with your host that your records are correct, leaving Cloudflare paused until your site is working.

Once your site is working with Cloudflare paused, then you can un-pause it and check your site keeps working.

Thanks for your reply, I contacted the hosting provider while paused but they did not see anything wrong and pointed the finger towards Cloudflare. Strato was in the past known for changing the IP address, but I checked the addresses and they check out. Do you have any tips on what (technical) information I should provide to Strato in order for them to be able to help me? I am not experienced in this. As far as DNS records go, I used the automatic gathering from Cloudflare during the setup. Strato unfortunately does not provide a normal overview of all DNS records, and even makes the standard ones invisible to users…
