Hello Cloudflare Community and Support Team, I’m a Pro plan user and we are experiencing intermittent 502 errors on the domain principito.multisoft.ar. After extensive testing, we have confirmed the following: The 502 errors only occur when the request is handled by the GRU (São Paulo) Cloudflare PoP. Our backend is fully functional and responds with HTTP 200 OK, confirmed through logs. When requests are routed through other PoPs, such as MIA (Miami) or EZE (Buenos Aires), everything works correctly. Test results: Output from /cdn-cgi/trace on an affected machine: ini Copiar Editar colo=GRU cf-ray=89abcdef-GRU Backend logs show that requests are received and processed correctly. Request: Temporarily reroute traffic from GRU to another PoP, such as MIA or EZE. Or temporarily exclude GRU from the routing path for this domain. This issue is impacting real users in production, and the root cause is clearly at the Cloudflare PoP level, not on our servers. We cannot migrate our infrastructure abroad nor upgrade to a Business plan only to have PoP rerouting access, so we kindly ask for assistance or escalation. Thank you in advance.
The issue still persists intermittently, and it is affecting production users.
The fact that GRU is only partially re-routed is exactly why this is a problem:
Cloudflare keeps sending traffic to it, even though the behavior is unstable.
Here’s a live trace showing the request going through GRU and returning a 502:
cf-ray: 8912abcd1234-GRU
Date: 9 June, 14:22 UTC-3
Our backend is up and returning 200 OK. This is a PoP-level issue.
Please escalate internally or consider removing GRU from rotation for our domain (multisoft.ar) and subdomains temporarily.
Understood that you’re not part of Cloudflare staff.
Unfortunately, Pro plan users don’t have access to direct technical support tickets unless we upgrade to Business — which is not viable in this case.
This is why we are raising the issue here in the forum: To request that Cloudflare staff review and investigate the behavior of the GRU PoP specifically for the domain principito.multisoft.ar.
Here’s another trace showing the issue (today):
cf-ray: 8921abcd4321-GRU
HTTP status: 502
Date: 9 June, 16:45 UTC-3
All backend services are operational and respond with 200 OK outside of GRU.
Can any Cloudflare staff member please escalate or confirm PoP behavior?
We appreciate your help.
