What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I tried to upload the certificate in SSL/TLS → Edge certificates → Upload custom SSL certificate.
It prompted to upload private key while my certificate is purchased online without a private key. Would you able to advise how I am able to get a private key / upload certificate without a private key? Thanks!!

Your certificate must come with a private key, otherwise you’d not be able to use it.

The only thing I can think of is that the vendor you bought the certificate from is also your hosting provider and installs the key automatically, without ever sharing it with you.

But without the private key, Cloudflare would not be able to use your certificate, so you must include it.

That’s a strange online shop or SSL certificate provider :thinking:
Did you checked your email for a zip archive which would contain both?

I may have the private key that i obtain from my web server, submit to SSL provider to create the SSL. Would this be possible the case (apologize that I am not an expert at all)?

Now, with the existing SSL that I have, it is not possible for Cloudflare to use it right?
If i were to ask the SSL provider to reinstate the SSL, would that affect my website that is already using the existing SSl that installed on web browser (connection hasnt been change to “Full” in Cloudflare)?
