Updating WordPress site & got this message

Hi All,

Not sure I am in the right place, but I can no longer access my website. Updating WordPress site and clicked something during the update and then got this message, “The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

I was updating our WordPress site and clicked something during the update and then got this message,

I have Cloudflare. Do I need to contact WordPress or Cloudflare. I greatly appreciate your assistance.

Cloudflare cant help here and probably neither Wordpress, unless Wordpress is your host. You will need to contact whomever is responsible for maintaining your site.

Thanks. I also have Digital Ocean. The guy who setup my site is on holiday/vacation.

In that case Wordpress simply seems to be your software and Digital Ocean your host. However Digital Ocean most likely wont be able to assist either. I’d suggest to contact that guy or outsource it to someone else, alternatively you can go down that route yourself and ask for help at StackExchange, but expect a lot to learn.

Thanks Sandro. I thought Wordpress was my host for 4 years and then my IT guy suggested we add Cloudflare and Digital Ocean at the same time.

Any additional thoughts would be greatly appreciated. If it is WordPress, what is the best way to contact support?

If you are just using the software you can ask at Forums | WordPress.org. If you actually host with them you can ask at wordpress.com, however in that case you wouldnt be using Digital Ocean.
