I have used cloudflare with a few freenom-domains in the past and now I wanted to use it with a paid domain. I tried updating the nameservers at my registrar, but always get an error:

I’d recommend you transfer your domain to a different registrar that isn’t intent on making problems for their customers.
Strato performs this “check” for exactly one reason, and that’s to make it harder for you to change your nameservers. This “check” is not part of the DNS specifications and doesn’t do anything to help you.
