Updated Credit Card details, old card billed

Hi all,

Over a month ago (end of May) we’ve updated our Credit Card details.
However, at the end of June, still the old card got billed. The old card was deleted completely from the account.
How is that possible? Does it take a while for the payment details to get processed?
And can we assume that from now on the new card will be billed?
