Updated a proxied A record but it seems to have no effect, against the clock to get this done

Hey,

I have updated a proxied a record on the DNS settings, this is for the main A record. The server is changing and therefore need it to go to the new site. I thought this was instant as the record is proxied and has been working fine till now. However, when visiting the address the site still goes to the old server, anyone got any ideas?
