Unsupported ssl cert /missmatch protocol

Had some issues with cetbot/letsencrypt on my ec2 apache server, so have removed and created a cert in cloudflare instead. I have copied the pem and key contents to my server’s ssl dir and pointed my 443 virtual host to that dir. Also have redirects in place on my 80 virtual host to go to https.

I have set ssl to full strict but get this error:

mydomain uses an unsupported protocol.

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

Does it take some time for the CF generated certs to work?

Thanks

If it shows as Active in the Edge Certs section, it should work. Without knowing the actual hostname, we can’t check this, but here’s some info on that error:

Ah thank-you… it showed no certs in the edge section. I clicked on ‘enable universal ssl’ at the bottom of the page (i must have disabled it during setup) and it’s loading correctly. Much appreciated !

quick question - I can see the cert issuer is also lets encrypt. Is there anything I need to do in Cloudflare when it expires in 3 months time?

Thanks

Cloudflare successfully auto-renews those 99.9999% of the time (estimated).
