Universal SSL not turning on

My site t4techblog.com is getting https:// error when opening in chrome or safari. No green padlock is visible. Please help.

I’m getting a 525 error. Was your site working with HTTPS before you added it to Cloudflare?

A 525 error is typically caused by a configuration issue in the origin web server when its SSL certificate is not properly set up. Review the suggestions in this Community Tip for advice & insight.

No, I just purchased it yesterday. I decided to use cloudflare for Free SSL. Please help me.

Then that’s the problem. Your origin server (web host) needs to configure your site with an SSL certificate.

It’s a managed wordpress site on Godaddy. I changed the nameservers to Cloudflare provided ones and turned on SSL. It is not working and Godaddy tells me to check with Cloudflare.

Cloudflare can not turn on SSL at your host.

I can tell you really want SSL and that green padlock. If it’s that important to you, make sure it’s provided by your host. Without that, your site is not secure.
