Universal SSL - Internal error encountered while processing change (Code: 1005)

Hello,

I added my website to Cloudflare Free more than 24 hours ago and my Edge Certificate was still not listed. So, before changing my nameservers, following some suggestions from this community, I disabled my Universal SSL. But now when I try to enable the Universal SSL, I get the error : Internal error encountered while processing change (Code: 1005)

What I need to do to re-enable the Universal SSL? Do I need to fix this before changing the nameservers?

Thanks,
Antonio

You will not be able to get Universal SSL provisioned until your domain is active on our nameservers and your records are proxied:

For domains on a full setup, your domain should automatically receive its Universal SSL certificate within 15 minutes to 24 hours of domain activation.

Are you still receiving this 1005 error, when trying to enable?

Yes I’m still receiving the 1005 error. So I set all my records to “DNS only” and then I place the nameservers. Once they are propagated I change their status to “Proxied”. But what happens to my https website once my records are proxied and there is not an Universal SSL for my domain? I would avoid any kind of malfunction, any suggestion about how to proceed?

Hi @user2492

I would recommend that you remove the zone from your account and the add it again, make sure that you have all the DNS records correctly and that they are proxied, then change the nameservers and the SSL certificate will be issued.

Thanks for your reply. Five days ago I tried to remove my website from Cloudflare (Overview/Remove from Cloudflare) and I received an email stating that " The zone: “mydomain.com” in account: “My Domain” was deleted by [[email protected]]
But my DNS records are still (or again?) there. Is this the procedure you suggested me?
