Unique visitors - what about the __cfduid cookie?

I know there were many questions about counting unique visitors. CF sets a __cfduid cookie. That is detected in the HTTP request. What’s the reason why this isn’t used to offer an actual/more accurate count of human unique visitors?

Hi there Alex,

“Human visitors” is currently not something we have analytical data for in the Analytics tab.

You could utilize Browser Insights

So that you can see a bit more info on clients connecting and the performance of a region/country etc.

But my suggestion to count “Humans” at this time is to use a third-party analytics platform.
