I’m experiencing an issue where my website is being set to maintenance mode without any apparent reason.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
I’ve already contacted my hosting provider, and they confirmed that everything is fine on their end. Interestingly, when I pause Cloudflare on the domain, the maintenance mode disappears.
There have been no recent changes made to the website or the DNS records. The issue has persisted since at least Saturday. I consulted the Cloudflare Maintenance Mode documentation(Maintenance mode · Cloudflare Fundamentals docs) to ensure I hadn’t accidentally activated any related features. However, I have not interacted with any of the features mentioned.
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Since I don’t know what’s causing the issue. I can’t give steps to reproduce the issue.
Anywhere you’ve shared the API key or some 3rd-party service such as eZoic, etc.?
I’d suggest you to Review the Audit Log for your Cloudflare account just in case for an inspection of the event time and date, and what kind of an action was triggered and executed from where by what:
Consider rotating your Global API Key and others as well, change your Cloudflare password and setup 2FA:
Just wanted to say thanks for all the help with the maintenance mode issue on my site. Turns out it was a problem with a WAF setting. I needed to update to the new managed rules, which resolved the issue.
