2 - the user get an CNAME record?
3 - A record request from the user
4 - A record respond from Cloudflare CDN Authoritative name server

Thank you

1 is just a hostname lookup. Those lookups may return an A, AAAA, or CNAME. In this case, it’s a CNAME.
2 – Yes
3 – Just like #1, it’s a hostname lookup.
4 – In this case, it will return an A or AAAA IP address.

The point is, a CNAME setup means your domain’s DNS is elsewhere, so you have to point to a CNAME record at Cloudflare DNS that’s configured for your domain.
