Unable to transfer domain from GoDaddy to Cloudflare. Error PIR-5173-GO

I’m attempting to transfer my .org domain from GoDaddy to Cloudflare Registrar and each time I get an error 'PIR-5173-GO". I transferred another domain from GD to CF with no problem. We’ve spoken with Go Daddy support and they say the problem appears to be on Cloudflare’s end.

What does PIR-5173-GO mean? How can I move this forward?

That’s a bit vague and the code seems to be GoDaddy related, from a search. Do they give any indication of what the issue is?

Can you share the domain?

Yes we’re still having the issue. Go Daddy support said it must be a Cloudflare code because it’s meaningless to them :laughing:

Thanks for the statuses, that would have been one of the first things I checked. Those look like the domain was renewed recently at GoDaddy, is that the case? If so, could it be the 60 day restricted window where you can’t transfer the domain?

I’m not sure what else to suggest, really. I have never heard of this code before and don’t believe it is a Cloudflare error. A search of it only returns results linked to GoDaddy. Where are you seeing the code? At GoDaddy or Cloudflare?

It’s their very own registrar ID.

May I suggest a change in registrar? There are plenty of competent ones out there who don’t overcharge.

Thanks Sandro, that’s very useful information. By the way I agree with you about registrars. I hate Go Daddy, hence the reason we are trying to migrate away :slight_smile:
