Unable to resolve/ping

Hi! As of this evening, I’m unable to resolve anything from or, or even ping them, but I do have the ability to resolve using the IPv6 servers.
Chrome does load, but incredibly slow and the initial connectivity tests to say “No”. It’s currently hung on checking the AS Name and AS Number.
Safari fails to load with a certificate error that I can’t seem to get past.

I tried to gather as much information as I could using this
My pings timeout, and nslookup and dig both fail to connect with
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

Traceroute makes it to Cloudflare.grand1.kcix.net and dies. Here’s my output -

traceroute to (, 64 hops max, 72 byte packets
 1 ( 1.851 ms 1.067 ms 2.672 ms
 2 ( 1.898 ms 1.981 ms 1.618 ms
 3 ( 2.614 ms 5.592 ms 2.947 ms
 4 23-255-224-203.mci.googlefiber.net ( 2.263 ms 2.689 ms 2.500 ms
 5 Cloudflare.grand1.kcix.net ( 2.126 ms 2.312 ms 2.072 ms
 6 * * *
 30 * * *

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, but it seems as if I’m hitting an ACL or firewall rule somewhere upstream, as other individuals on the same ISP and taking the exact same route as me, are having no issues. Thanks!

That was a lot of edits. You status page appears to show that you can actually reach Also, the fact that DoH appears to work in Firefox would suggest that. The failed ping, traceroute, and (presumably) plain DNS request would suggest elsewise however.

Maybe it was a temporary glitch with your ISP. Does it work again meanwhile?

Yeah, I know. Sorry lol. I was hoping for some change today, but no dice. Still only makes it as far as Cloudflare.grand1.kcix.net

All right, so does DoH work?

Yes, DoH works just fine. Not every device is pointed at my DoH server, though, which is how I noticed the issue. I frequently use for testing and whatnot in the lab. I just can’t seem to find what’s going on :frowning:
