What is the issue you’re encountering

I am unable to add an ANAME record. I’m following AWS’ tutorial for custom domains within Amplify, and I’m at the step where I need to add an ANAME record (the final step), but Cloudflare keeps preventing the entry saying “provide a valid IPV4 address”. I am copying the address directly from AWS, so I don’t understand what is going wrong.

ANAME records are a type of record that Amazon uses internally. This type of record does not exist on Cloudflare.

If you want to point your domain to a hostname with Cloudflare, you need to use a CNAME record.
