Unable to connect port 465

My email is not working. telnet to port 465 is failing
telnet kindermotion.com.au 465
Connecting To kindermotion.com.au…Could not open connection to the host, on port 465: Connect failed

This is the setting given by GoDaddy

Incoming Server: kindermotion.com.au

  • IMAP Port: 993
  • POP3 Port: 995
    Outgoing Server: kindermotion.com.au
  • SMTP Port: 465

Cloudflare DNS setting
A mail 148.72.95.115 Auto DNS only
MX kindermotion.com.au kindermotion.com.au Auto DNS only

What am I doing wrong?

The MX record should probably point to mail.kindermotion.com.au instead of kindermotion.com.au:


Telnet fails because, by default, Cloudflare only proxies HTTP traffic and only on select ports. You’d have to look towards Cloudflare Spectrum if you want to proxy mail traffic, but that is only available for Enterprise customers.

Are you sure there is a mailserver behind mail.kindermotion.com.au ( 148.72.95.115 ) : Network Tools: DNS,IP,Email (mxtoolbox.com) ?

ping and telnet to mail.kindermotion.com.au works fine

I have other domains that are hosted in Godaddy cPanel and their emails are working fine. Email issues are only for domain DNS in Cloudflare I am having issues.

I tried this as well no luck |MX|kindermotion.com.au|mail.kindermotion.com.au

Which mailserver you have to use according to godaddy?

To which IP you have to point for kindermotion.com.au?
