Unable to add new domain to Cloudflare

Hi everyone,

I’m unable to add a domain name ending in .id.au however have been previously able to in the past. I’ve checked my name is Servers, I’ve checked my Cloudflare account, and I’ve use the Cloudflare diagnostics tool and still no resolution. In the past I’ve been able to email Cloudflare support and they’ve been able to add or make it so that I can add domain similar to this however it seems you can no longer do this.

If anyone has any ideas, or suggestions, or if Cloudflare Support can provide assistance I really appreciate this.

Regards,
Nick

Well, that’s the issue. You set Cloudflare nameservers even though you obviously don’t have the domain on Cloudflare. That can’t work.

Set the original nameservers again and only then add it to Cloudflare.

Your domain should load fine on HTTPS before you add it to Cloudflare.

I’ll try this @sandro
However as my Cloudflare name serves rarely change I see no need to keep them default, infact I’ve set them to automatically set to our CloudFlare account Name Servers and have never had an issue before.

That’s until you get other nameservers assigned. Nameservers on Cloudflare are always domain specific, which means you can only set them once you added the domain to Cloudflare.

Well @sandro,

You were right. Never seen that as an issue for me before. I’ll remember this thanks.
