Answer these questions to help the Community help you get started.

What is the domain name?
pauseint.ngo.us

Have you searched for an answer?
Yes - but I’m in a different situation. Although ngo.us is a SLD it’s available for registration, similar to adding example.eu.org, which is supported by Cloudflare.

When you tested your domain, what were the results?

I’m experiencing an issue while trying to add my_domain.ngo.us to my Cloudflare account. I receive the following error message: “Please ensure you are providing the root domain and not any subdomains.”

Describe the issue you are having:

To provide some context, ngo.us is a second-level domain (SLD) domain registry that is not yet listed in the Public Suffix List (PSL). As a result, I believe this might be causing the error when attempting to add my_domain.ngo.us to my Cloudflare account.

I would like to request assistance in resolving this issue and adding my_domain.ngo.us to my Cloudflare account successfully. Since ngo.us is an SLD domain registry, I understand that it might require special consideration or configuration on the Cloudflare side to accommodate the addition of subdomains.

I appreciate any guidance or support you can provide in this matter. Please let me know if there are any additional details or steps I can provide to assist with the troubleshooting process.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

  1. “Add Domain”

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

No

And that’s the issue. You need to talk to the registry or registrar, so they list that properly. Until then it won’t be supported by Cloudflare.

That’s a general issue. A site needs to be secure before you use Cloudflare. Fix that while you talk to your registrar.
