Unable to add domain to account

What is the issue you’re encountering

When trying to add a new domain to our account we get ‘The zone name provided is subject to a hold which disallows the creation of this zone. Please contact the domain owner to have this hold removed.’

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Contacted previous owner, domain removed from their cloudflare account

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Nameservers not propagating and still unable to add domain to our account - same error message.

Did they remove the zone hold first? If not, see if they can (not sure if it can be done once the domain is removed). If that fails you’ll need to raise a support ticket for help.
