Unable to add custom domain

I get this error when trying to link my non-latin/utf8 domain that is already added to Cloudflare to my Cloudflare Pages website. I am stuck at the second step of the process, it even recognizes the existence of required record on the domain (CNAME under “existing record” section is completely identical to “new record” section), but when I click “Activate domain” I get a 8000000 code error.
