Unable to access website with Proxied to UpCloud

From the test results I attached, my colleagues from Philippines couldn’t access the site if the domain is Proxied to UpCloud but no problem with Proxied to other server such as Vodien.

I find that non-proxied to Upcloud no issue too.

All these results are test on Philippines. So far no problem accessing from Singapore and Malaysia.

Error 522

I know that error 522 is unable to reach web server but the site is reachable without proxied from the same web server. So this is not unreachable issue. This is weird.

Confirmed, it only happen to my CloudFlare account. I tried to point to the inaccessible website with another CloudFlare account and it’s working from Philippines.

At first I thought maybe it just happened to particular domain, that’s not true. Any domains in my account will not load from Philippines.

Whats the domain, respectively URL which does not load?

cp.hitec.com.ph - OK

  1. Both URLs are actually a single website, cp.hitec.com.ph is just an additional domain.
  2. showcase.sg is my CF account.
  3. hitec.com.ph is another CF account.

You go via two different datacentres. Could it be you have US connections blocked on your server? Check for any firewall entries on your server in this context.

In my server (UpCloud) don’t have feature to block or whitelist IP address. This case also happened on another host such as Vodien.

As long as *.showcase.sg pointed one will not load from PH but *.hitec.com.ph will load.

In that case you need to contact support, maybe they can tell more.

A 522 is when Cloudflare cannot connect to your server. This typically is when your server blocks it, there could also be an issue on your server’s network, but thats something only your host can clarify.

But both of the proxied IP are from USA. If server blocks it, I’m pretty sure both domain going to beinaccessible because there’s only one website with two domains attached. 1 host 2 domains pointing to same content.

They are not. In one case you are going via Sri Lanka, only the US connection seems to be blocked.

Again, do you feel comfortable sharing the address?

Alright, that server does not seem to block US connections in general, but that is not to say there couldnt be block of Cloudflare in place.

As I said before, you best contact support at this point, they might be able to tell more why they cannot connect.
