Turing off SSL to pull the SSL cert from the web server

What is the issue you’re encountering

We have a webhost that has asked us to turn off/bypass the universal cert for one of our domains and let clients access the SSL cert directly from the web server. Would turning off universal SSL in Cloudflare accomplish this?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I found the following article Disable Universal SSL certificates · Cloudflare SSL/TLS docs. I am looking for confirmation/advice if this will work before purchasing a subscription for this domain or advanced certificate manager.

No, you’d need to pause → Pause Cloudflare · Cloudflare Fundamentals docs

Otherwise you could purchase a Business plan, where you can configure your own certificate, but the proxy certificates should actually work just fine.
