Tunnel subdomains work but root does not

What is the issue you’re encountering

I am able to connect to my son’s server using a subdomain but I can’t get it to work using the root domain. DNS servers are properly set up. I have my own website that I use with Cloudflare that I can point to and use the root domain. All settings on my son’s mirror what I have on mine, yet his won’t allow a connection using root.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve seen many posts of people with the same issue but none have a solution and most end with the user just giving up. I’ve checked that porkbun shows the correct DNS servers. There aren’t any extra DNS records on Cloudflare. I don’t know what else to do.

I notice above that it shows this is a connection to Dockge so Cloudflare is able to see into my server, however it won’t allow the page to opened on a browser.
(Just using Dockge as an application to troubleshoot this issue with.)

In a last ditch effort I cleared all cache and cookies one last time and now it works.
