I receive a generic “ 404 page not found” HTML page

What is the issue you’re encountering

I have successfully setup “public hostnames” for various applications. However, I cannot get Portainer to work.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have setup a Public Hostname:
Domain: nitroapps.cloud
Path: portainer

Service Type: http
Service URL: 192.168.68.3:9000

Please note that I have 5 more sites setup this way for other applications and they all work fine…only Portainer gives this error message.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Access Sign in ・ Cloudflare Access
  2. Authenticate
  3. HTML page with error “ 404 page not found” HTML page

Try 192.168.68.3:8000

Still not work, but different error message. Now it simply says “not found” in my web browser (html page).
