TTFB has increased by over a few seconds since setting up cloudflare. We do have some large SQL queries on the site. Wondering any ideas on why this would happen.
You are saying it started with Cloudflare but then refer to lengthy database queries. Which of the two is it? The latter can definitely block your page and be the reason for elevated response times, though that won’t be Cloudflare related and needs to be discussed with your web developer.
If you say it is only when proxied, then you would need to post a sample URL, as otherwise it’s impossible to say anything.
