Trying to set up [name]@[domain].com - getting an error

I am a complete noob at this. Totally. I’ll do a little dance for anyone who can walk me through like I’m their grandmother. With better hearing.

I used namecheap to register my domain. I subscribed to their ‘starter email subscription’. All I want is a simple email address from that domain that I can send from and receive to.

I added three records to Cloudflare that namecheap asked me to.

I can SEND emails from [name]@[domain].com and about half the ones I send TO [name]@[domain].com I am getting.

Here’s the error:

554 5.1.1 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: undeliverable address: host mail-outgoing-fef.relay.svc.cluster.local[10.27.5.108] said: 554 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied (in reply to RCPT TO command)

I have an unusual set up because I use notion.so for a blog and had to change a bunch of settings (like the A record is 1.1.1.1

Can anyone help?

You seem to have a mix of MX records configured from two different companies. Did you email provider tell you to use all of these?

% dig mx laziestlandlord.com +short
15 eforward4.registrar-servers.com.
10 eforward1.registrar-servers.com.
10 eforward2.registrar-servers.com.
10 eforward3.registrar-servers.com.
10 mx1.privateemail.com.
10 mx2.privateemail.com.
20 eforward5.registrar-servers.com.

I think some set up automatically. Thanks! I think now that I’ve cleared it seems better. So far.

Appreciate your v quick reply, Michael.
