What is the issue you’re encountering

I’m trying to figure out why my customer is blocked from viewing my website by referencing the Cloudflare Ray Id

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve tracked do the record in the Firewall events JSON file. I’ve got the ruleId, rulesetId fields, and etc. but the code don’t reveal the reason for the blocking. My client really wants an explanation as to why his customer is being blocked. That’s the answer I’m looking for.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Strict (SSL-Only Origin Pull)

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

So far, only one customer has reported the issue. Can not reproduce myself.

The reason for the block would be that the request triggered the rule.

Is it a custom rule or a managed rule?

I don’t think we have any custom rules. I think it’s a managed rule.

I can’t find a managed rule with that ID in my rules, and I believe the ID would be the same.

But can you check if you find one? ID’s might be different between accounts. On the dashboard, go to Security → WAF → Managed rules

And then click on the different managed rules and then “browse”. Also check again if there are any custom rules.

Hello, thank you for the quick replies. Yesterday, I had to leave work early, so I couldn’t respond. Anyways, it seems I have no custom rules as on that tab it says, “You have used 0 out of 20 available Custom Firewall Rules.”

Also, with your first instructions, I looked on Managed Rules tab and had a question. What should I search for? And I didn’t see browse option. I did the Advanced link which opened a search feature. Do I use that instead? If so, I did place in the ruleid and the ray id and nothing came up.

For everyone else, the Rule was Super Bot Fight Mode for Definite Bots.
