Trying to buy available domain and can’t

Hi, please can someone help me.

Yesterday I bought a co .uk domain successfully and .com was also available ~ I wished and fully intended to buy both to secure the name but . com was unsuccessful. It is now showing as not available but I know it still is at it’s nowhere on the web to be found. I have called customer service and they sent me me to online chat but no such subject is available so can’t do that.

It seems that the domain is stuck somewhere in the ether and I wish to buy it asap. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the .COM domain shows as not available and you believe something went wrong at the registration process you can first go to

and perform a lookup to make sure it is indeed taken and if it was registered by Cloudflare.

If it says it was registered by a different registrar, then I don’t think there’s much you can do other than contacting them and offer to buy it. If it was actually registered at Cloudflare then you can paste the results of the whois lookup here so someone from the Cloudflare team can help you.

Thanks so much for your support. I did this but couldn’t figure anything out sadly. This is what it says and my browser doesn’t open any links.

Also, I went to GoDaddy just as a stop off to check availability and I could purchase it there. I’m so confused :grimacing:

Hi, yes after taking another look it looks like its been purchased and updated since 2000 but it isn’t an active website. On Go Daddy its on offer for about 49.00 GBP so does this mean someone has bought it to sell on perhaps? And why was it showing as available here? This is all very confusing for someone new to the technical world. Thank you!

Yes, it could be. Tons of domains are purchased to be resold.
