True IP Catch-22

After filing a DMCA complaint Cloudflare advises the host is GLOBALLAYER. Their support asks for the IP. I can only give the IP by CF.

I tell GLOBALLAYER to email the abusereply CF address to get the true IP and as far as I can tell they simply don’t bother.

How do I get past this?

Any help here?

It sounds like GLOBALLAYER is stalling you. Your next step would be to pursue legal action.

The Cloudflare DMCA response mentions that the hosting company must email abusereply and I understand why they wouldn’t automatically give the info to anyone…

This however allows them to simply not bother why demanding I provide it.

There’s no way I can confirm my requests are legitimate to get this from Cloudflare?

The DMCA reply states " Due to attempted abuse of our complaint reporting process, we will only provide the IP of [site] to the responsible hosting provider if they contact us directly at [email protected]."

However this means sites can say “you did not provide the IP” when contacted and then simply not bother to email abusereply and ignore the takedown request.

Is there really no way to confirm I am not attempting any abuse and get the correct IP?

The community cannot assist or advise on any abuse related issues. The only people who can answer your questions are Trust & Safety and it sounds like you are already in touch with them. Their decision stands and nothing the community say will change that.
