Trouble with SSL certificates; HTTP redirecting

I installed a free SSL certificate on my website using Cloudflare. I created a new account on Cloudflare, added my website, changed the nameservers on my domain name, installed the WordPress plugin for SSL – the complete drill. I am currently using my the ‘Full (Strict) SSL mode’ for my website, and yet I am having the following problem.

When I type ‘www’ or ‘https://’ before my website name in the address bar, it takes me to the secure website that shows a green padlock in the top left corner. But, when I type just my website name without any prefixes, it take me to a ‘:warning: Not Secure’ website, which starts with ‘http://’ and not ‘https://’. I am not sure if this is normal.

I have switched on the ‘Always use HTTPS’ as well as ‘Automatic HTTPS rewrites’. I do not know what the problem is.

If you provide us with your domain, we can have a look at it and analyse the domain and all the redirects. Thanks!

Dear M4rt1n, is there any way I can share the domain name with you?

Whenever I try to write my domain name in a post or an answer on the Community forum, I get an error message saying that I cannot include URLs in my posts. I tried to tell you my domain name in the response to the email, but the email too bounced back because of the same reason!

Yes, just send it within two code-tags like this:

<code>your-domain.tld</code>

or you can write it with a space inbetween:

domain .tld

If you are using WordPress then you need to add only really simple plugin, it will redirect to your preferred domain version.

If your website are custom build then you need to only redirect old URL to new URL on .htaccess file then your issue will resolve.

Same issue with my website repairinuae I followed these steps & the issue resolve now.
