I’m requesting a transfer from my old registrar (Joker) to Cloudflare and at the stage where I need to accept the transfer for it to go through immediately. On the old registrar I see this message:
The domain will be transferred to “30223940”.
In the past I’ve seen the name of the receiving registrar there, but I can’t figure out what this number is, and Google is not helping.
Anyone know if that’s a reference to Cloudflare? I’d like to confirm before I accept it.
I cannot locate any similar reports of this. I suspect all is ok to approve the transfer, but you may want to contact the current registrar and see if it is an internal reference that they can decipher for you. For their reference, the Cloudflare Registrar IANA Registrar ID is 1910.
Let us know if that does turn out to be an internal reference number used by the former registrar.
Joker couldn’t give me more details, so I just accepted it and the transfer went through OK.
