I have successfully transferred my domain to Cloudflare. I am now working on trying to transfer my reactjs app to Cloudflare. I used the pages option and was able to select my github repository. I saved the selection. Now on the pages screen, the “Begin Setup” button is disabled…??? Not sure how to proceed (what do I need to do to activate the Begin Setup button?). Thanks for the assist!
I successfully transferred my domain name to Cloudflare (it shows as ‘active’). I went into the pages process and selected the GitHub repository and saved the changes. The correct GitHub repository is displayed, but the “Begin Setup” button is disabled. What do I need to do to enable the Begin Setup button? Any help is greatly appreciated!
It seems this issue has been closed but I am not able to find any information in the reply that resolves this issue. I am new to Cloudflare so I am certain that I am missing something… I am hoping someone can tell me what things might cause the “Begin Setup” button to be disabled on Cloudflare pages…???
Thank you for your help!
I have been reading several articles in Cloudflare and some of the posts that sounded similar to what I am seeing in the hopes of finding a solution. I believe my issue is the same as the one referenced in this link “Issues linking GitHub accounts to Cloudflare Pages”.(Issues linking GitHub accounts to Cloudflare Pages).
It probably goes without saying, but I am new to Cloudflare. Is there any way to push this issue along to a Cloudflare technical person who can look at it to see if this is the same issue as the one reported back in July, 2023 (per the link above)??? and if it is, can they suggest a work-around?
Thanks again for your help! Cheryl
Hi @clathey123
In the box just below Select a repository
, you check/mark the repository, you see available, and then the Begin Setup
button will become active.
Hello! I wish it were that simple… I have attached some print screens to show what I am seeing. I was able to successfully find and select my repository. but… when I clicked on the “Install and Authorize button”, the system returned me to the Pages dashboard. You can see that my repository is listed (“MTClient2”) but the ‘begin setup’ button is disabled. I have done a lot of searching and cannot find anything that might explain why this is occurring. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks for your help and our reply!!! Cheryl
Hello! Well… the Begin Setup button was enabled and I was able to try the deploy… but… now it is ending with Failed: build command exited with code: 1
I will do the retry and then do some more research to see if I can figure out the reason for this error. Any thoughts you may have are greatly appreciated!
Thank you SO MUCH for your help!
Cheryl
Hello! Sorry for the extra email, ,but I wanted to send some additional information. The deploy runs for quite awhile (almost 2 minutes) before it ends in error. In fact, I can see the message “Creating an optimized production build…” before it errors with code ‘1’.
Also, I have added a “NODE_VERSION” variable that notes the version of node that is installed on my computer which is 18.7.1. … but… I am noting that the node package that is in my package.js dependency list is version 14.21… perhaps this discrepancy is causing the error 1??? I also wanted to let you know that I can successfully do a build ‘outside’ of cloudFlare so this is definitely something within cloudFlare that is ‘confused’.
I am continuing to research to see if I can find a solution and if I do, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again for your help! Cheryl
