Transfer out from one Cloudflare to Another?

Hello,

So i am buying a domain from another person (the seller) whos domain is registered with Cloudflare.
I am also registered with Cloudflare. I would like the seller to transfer the domain to me so that I can register the domain into my Cloudflare domain account.

is this possible?

Does the seller need to ‘Transfer out’ and enter my Cloudflare registered email?

I understand that sites can be switched from one account to another via ‘Add a site’ and then switching nameservers to the new ones… but I am referring to actual domain transfers from one account to another…

I don’t exactly know how that would work, I believe you would both need to contact support since to enable the switch you would have to activate the zone in the new account, but that is prevented by the fact that you can’t change NS in Cloudflare Registrar.

Alternatively you can transfer to a third party registrar, activate the zone and then after the 60 days waiting you would transfer it back into CF.

I would imagine @cloonan would like to follow this.

But someone should make this work as we both register domains with Cloudflare and not with any one else. it’s a deadlock!
