Transfer domain with long registration

Hello,

I have a .org registered with GoDaddy. Since CF is DNS for the domain anyway, I’d like to transfer its registration to CF to consolidate things.

The domain is currently paid through 2030. Would that expiry date transfer over, or is it somehow tied to GoDaddy and be forfeit in a transfer?

You will pay Cloudflare for 1 year of registration to transfer, and that year will be added to the current expiry date (so will take you to 2031). There is a 10-year limit so don’t move too many times more in the current year!
