Transfer domain with German umlaut

What is the name of the domain?

something-like-schön.com

What is the issue you’re encountering

Cannot start domain transfer

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

I don’t know

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I added my domain with German umlaut in Account Home and followed the steps. The original registrar is squarespace: I deactivated DNSSEC and changed the name servers. The domain is now shown besides my other domains with status Active (it is shown with the umlaut, not in ACE form).
Now I want to go to Domain Registration and Transfer Domain but I cannot select the domain (it says Unsupported characters). I am a little bit confused, because the transfer of DNS records worked until here with me entering the non-ACE form of the domain, so Cloudflare apparently knew how to translate the domain to ACE form.

What should I do to transfer the domain? Do I have to delete the domain in the Account Home and add it again in ACE form?

Convert the domain to punycode and paste that in instead.

You can convert here…

Your answer does not help me. I know how to convert the domain name to ACE format (e.g. ‘something-like-schön.com’), but I need advice on what to do in in cloudflare. Do I need to delete the domain in the dashboard and add it again with the other format? Is there a configuration field where I can paste the ACE format? Can I “convert” the existing domain?

Funnily enogh the board here converted the ACE format (“punycode”) to the UTF-8 domain name… (it was xn–something-like-schn-76b dot com)

I forgot, Cloudflare Registrar does not yet support IDNs so you won’t be able to transfer the domain…
