Hey! I am trying to transfer a Domain fom Wix to Cloudflare. I have done that before just not so long ago with another domain. There I just had a field where I could put the authorization code and some days later I had access to that domain from Cloudflare. This time I cannot find the field to put the authorization code… can someone help?
Perform a whois query and make sure the domain isn’t locked (Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited).
Also, domains can’t be transferred within 60 days of registration/renewal.
Okay, the issue was that it was a .de domain. Now I transfered the domain to gandi and there I could change the nameserver settings to connect the domain to Cloudflare where I changed the DNS settings. I even deleted the domain from the wix account. But still, when I visit the domain I am forwarded to a wix landing page saying the domain is not connected to a website. But actually nothing is pointing to wix anymore. Could it be that it just needs some time since all changes take action?
If you already pointed your domain to Cloudflare’s DNS, then you can go to your Cloudflare account and edit the DNS records to change the A or AAAA records and have it proxied or not. If it goes to Wix it means there’s an A or AAAA record pointing there.
