Traffic from my server takes weird path to 1.1.1.1

I’m trying to use 1.1.1.1 from an AWS EC2 instance, and I see that it takes a very weird path – it goes to the Singapore Cloudflare DC and not the Mumbai DC. However, when I try to do this from my home in Bangalore, it goes to the Mumbai DC.

Since it’s going to the Singapore DC, DNS queries are taking a lot longer than they should.

Could anyone advise me what I could do regarding the issue

You can also confirm the datacenter code by running

dig +short CHAOS TXT id.server @1.1.1.1

If possible, provide the output from commands listed here

From what I can tell they both take about the same time 50ms+.

this is expected as my home internet connection is a lot worse. Ideally, the queries from the EC2 should take a shorter path and go to BOM, and return a query far quicker.
