"This record exposes the IP address used in the A record"

Hi everyone :wave:t2:

I noticed a little warning symbol next to the MX record I have within my Cloudflare DNS records. I was just curious if anyone had a recommendation for what I can do to take care of this?

The warning, when I hover over it, states that “This record exposes the IP address used in the A record on mail.myfishingcapecod(dotcom), which you have proxied through Cloudflare.”

You’ll just have to ignore this warning, as you cannot proxy SMTP traffic through Cloudflare.

Just keep in mind that, as long as you host your own mail server, Cloudflare cannot protect you from DDoS attacks.
