The DNS records do not reflect the set records in Cloudflare

We have taken over a business. The nameserver for the website piqniq.nl referred to Cloudflare, but no one has a known account there. So I registered a new account, received two new nameservers and set those on the domain. However, after the change has gone through, the DNS record does NOT match the DNS records that I entered in Cloudflare. The most important difference is the record for mail.piqniq.nl, which causes the mail not to work. Any ideas?
(in the meantime, I have switched back to the Cloudflare nameservers over which I have no control, but they work)

Edit the record for mail (and any other email related records) to use “DNS only” instead of “Proxied”.

Leave the others if they point to a website for now (post back if there are problems with those). Cloudflare IP addresses are returned for records that are proxied so Cloudflare can receive your site traffic. See here…
