Hi Cloudflare Community, I recently received an email from Cloudflare Sanctions Compliance asking for additional details and a government-issued ID to verify my account due to potential violation of section 7 of Cloudflare’s Self-Serve Subscription Agreement. Here’s a portion of the email: >

We have information indicating that you may be in violation of section 7 of Cloudflare's Self-Serve Subscription Agreement which may require us to take action regarding your account. As a security check against possible payment fraud, Cloudflare will need additional details before we can proceed with providing your services to your account under a paid plan. > > Cloudflare uses Stripe as our third-party verification vendor. I want to ensure this email is legitimate before sharing any personal information.

Has anyone else received a similar email from Cloudflare? How can I confirm this is not a phishing attempt? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The email address is a legitimate email address but agree the content and identity request seems odd. Can you report this to Support and ask that they escalate your ticket to Trust & Safety. Please also share your ticket number here. You’ll want to open an account ticket and share the contents of the email on the ticket.

I don’t see that option in the dropdown menu when I try to submit a support ticket

At the end of the form you can describe the issue and ask the team to escalate and/or verify, you’d want to start the ticket with these options
