I’m managing DNS records for five of my domains using Cloudflare (free plan), never had any issue for many years. I have a weird problem for the last couple of hours though. Just one of my domains started to return SERVFAIL status, tested also with “https://cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query?…” API, also for example https://www.whatsmydns.net/ to check against multiple DNS providers…
All my domains resolve just fine, except this one, even though all of them are part of the same account, configured identically AFAIK, working for many years before and I’m not aware of any recent change on my side…
What am I doing wrong?
I just found out there are some new DNSSEC records tied to my domain (just the one with issues), with timestamp right from the time Cloudflare stopped resolving my domain. I haven’t done anything by myself and according to registrars management interface I have no DNSSEC records associated to this domain. I am waiting for reply from my registrar’s support.
Edit: probably solved, according to whois all “strange” DNSSEC records disappeared from my domain and all checks are passing now. My guess is that my registrar made some corrections, I’ll get some response/explanation to my ticket from them later, hopefully. Sorry for spamming Cloudflare’s forum then
