I want some help with one question. It’s about email deliverability. I will create a subdomain (CNAME targeting @) with my DNS service for email updates like “@email. example . com’. If the target value is “@” or “root”, will the sending reputation of the subdomain affect directly my main domain '”@‘example . com’"'?
And if so, is there a way to solve that without having to target it to a new server or IP?
If you are creating an MX record for a subdomain the RFCs specify the target must be an A record. Any individual domain generally speaking doesn’t impact the subdomain. Generally speaking? Yes if you send 32M spam messages a day your root domain will be impacted… spent $4 and buy an alt domainif you are a spammer.
